Solutions
A queue outside is
money already lost.
Scan from any phone, at as many gates as you staff, with roles you can hand to volunteers.
The problem
Why this exists
The gate is the last place an event can still go wrong.
Everything worked. The sale held, the money landed, and then a thousand people are standing in the road because check-in is one laptop and a spreadsheet.
What you get
Gate operations
Any phone is a scanner
Staff open the app and start working. A used or invalid pass is flagged before the holder takes another step.
Multi-gate, one inventory
As many entrances as you staff, all validating against the same live data, so a pass used at one gate is dead at the others.
Assignable scanner roles
Gate access for stewards and volunteers without exposing revenue or the rest of the dashboard.
One app, both jobs
A single iOS and Android app: attendees store, view and transfer their own passes in it, and staff switch into scanner mode to work the gate.
Live event chat
One channel connecting attendees and crew while the doors are open.
Surveys on the pass
Attach a feedback form and collect responses once everyone has gone home.

Questions
Gate operations, specifically.
Do we need special scanning hardware?
No. Any phone or tablet runs the scanner app, and multiple gates can scan at once against the same live inventory.
Can volunteers scan without seeing our revenue?
Yes. Scanner roles grant gate access and nothing else.
What happens if someone tries a duplicate pass?
It is flagged immediately. Validation is real time and shared across every gate.
